7 nights cruising from Vancouver visiting Skagway, Janeau, Ketchikan, Ice Strait Point, then on land, 1 Night Alyeska, 1 Night Anchorage, 1 Night Talkeetna, 1 Night Denali, 2 Nights Fairbanks. Pre Cruise Get-to-Gather, Meet your traveling companions, hosted by K&M June 4th: Pick up in Zephyrhills and transfer to the Airport Escorted* all the way with K & M and RCCL (hand holding service provided, when needed) Flying to Vancouver where transfers with baggage handling from the Vancouver Airport to your Ship included June 4th: Vancouver, British Columbia dinner on our ship June 5th: Cruising the Inside Passage on the beautiful Radiance of the Seas June 6th: Ketchikan, Alaska 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lots of time for Dolly's June 7th: Ice Strait Point, Alaska 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. A nice little town or look for bears June 8th: Juneau, The Capital of Alaska, not accessible by land. A free beer if you catch us a the Red Dog Saloon June 9th: Skagway, Alaska 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.. You buy us a beer if we find you at the Red Onion Saloon June 10th: Hubbard Glacier Cruising. What Marvin calls a "religious experience." A very moving day watching and listening to the Glacier talking and calfing June 11th: Upon arrival in Seward, you'll board a deluxe Motor-coach and enjoy a scenic drive to Alyeska. On the way you'll make a stop to visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a neat place to see some native wildlife and grab a bag o popcorn or an ice cream and soda. Then we arrive at our first night's lodging on land, in the little town of Girdwood, and the year round resort for Alaskans, Alyeska. While in Alyeska, experience breathtaking views as you soar 2,300 feet above the valley on the Alyeska Tramway. The evening is free for you to explore spectacular Girdwood Valley. We will enjoy an included dinner this evening at the Ponds Restaurant. June 12th: Enjoy the morning with a wonderful group breakfast buffet, then travel by deluxe motor-coach through the picturesque Turn-again Arm, to the cosmopolitan city of Anchorage filled with museums and shops. We will have a great family style dinner this evening at our favorite restaurant, the Sour Dough Mining Company and maybe stop to see the Salmon Run. We are scheduled to spend the night at the Marriot Hotel in Downtown Anchorage. June 13th: Getting up early we are transferred to the train station where we relax over a great breakfast as you travel in luxury aboard the Wilderness Express, our glass-domed train-cars, to Talkeetna, where you'll have the remainder of the afternoon and evening free to choose from optional excursions such as jet-boating the glacier waters or flight-seeing to Mt. McKinley. Enjoy your evening meal at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and some special entertainment. Make sure you walk or ride to the little town which is our favorite in Alaska. June 14th: In the morning, after our breakfast, enjoy the nature trails that surround the lodge before you depart on the Wilderness Express to Denali. The evening is yours to explore Denali or choose an optional land excursion, such as white-water rafting, helicopter flight-seeing, or dining at the Cabin Nite Dinner Theatre which we will enjoy as guests of K & M Travel. Retire for a restful night in Denali. June 15th: In the morning, after a fun breakfast, take the Denali Natural History Tour; an exciting guided experience in Denali National Park. Then travel on the Wilderness Express, our glass-domed train-cars, for a scenic journey to Fairbanks. We will have dinner on the train. Enjoy a relaxing evening in Fairbanks. June 16th: We are up bright and early for our breakfast and then we will enjoy a cruise on the Riverboat Discovery Sternwheeler (best home made donuts included) with a stop at an Indian Village and take a tour of the El Dorado Gold Mine where you'll have a chance to pan for gold. (best homemade cookies included) this evening, K & M Travelers will enjoy the best Salmon Bake in Alaska, complete with all you can eat prime rib, baked and fried fish and salmon and salad and desserts and beverages and then we will go to the old saloon for a rip roaring theater presentation. Stay a second night in Fairbanks. June 17th: The next morning we will have breakfast at our hotel and then your Adventure Specialist will see that you are transferred to the Fairbanks Airport for your flight home. When we arrive in Tampa, we will be transferred to Zephyrhills. And look forward to a get-to-gather to share our pictures and memories.
